Well I do know that if you run it through the crankcase for a while, it will dissolve any varnish and cruddy deposits that may have built up in your lifters that may be causing a dry condition. Try it out! let us know! I'm actually quite interested since the 89 has a small lifter issue when cold started in the winter.

Not sure about seafoam and lifters, but I used to have an old Ford pickup with noisy lifters. I used Marvel Mystery Oil to solve that problem. Half a quart of that stuff in the crank case and within a few miles the lifters stopped making noise. I think the MMO and the SeaFoam are very similar in the way they work in the crank case.
