Default turn signal stuck solid

hey all. i need some quick help, as i have work tomorrow.

long story short, i turned into autozone of all places and my left turn signal didnt flash, it stayed on solid. it stays on with the key off, the car locked up with the hazards on, the right signal on, even unlocking and locking the car when they are supposed to flash. with the car off, i can hear it canceling just like the right side does. ive tried unhooking the battery, and before i even turn the key the turn signal is stuck. as soon as you connect the battery, boom it pops on. ive tried searching for this but i cant find an answer other than the multifunction switch, and if it were that i imagine atleast popping the battery would leave it off till i turned the ignition.

any help is very very greatly appreciated.

Both front and rear, or just one of the two?

both. i found the box the flasher is in, didnt open it though because it has 3 wire looms going to it. tapped on the box with my wrench a few times with the hazards on and it released and it works again. closed it back up and called it a day till it gets cooler. its 96 degrees at the moment with 80% humidity and i was working in the sun. not ideal sitting in the car with your head on the floor and your feet over the headrest weather. lol.

Sounds like your elements got stuck together. That'* better than the heating element of it not working causing it not to trip.
