no. the 92-95 had it under the hood, the 96+ has it under the body by the rear wheels

i think there may be some confusion. i mis-spoke

my car is a 95 Series II and has the compressor in the trunk near the wheelwell. considering taking one from a 93.

No, his doesn't have it up front. It'* in the rear because of the size of the S2 airbox feeding the L36.

No, you want a 95 L36 (not common) or 96 and newer (any trim) pump.
