Default trouble with rear right door electric locks

Have a 93 green Bonny and love it except one problem: I'm new here and having trouble with the remotes control opening the rt. rear door. It will lock it ok , but not unlock. Took the door panel off and the actuator appears to work. There is a white plastic that appears to be broken near the end where it attaches to the locking rod. Is this really broken or is that how it works? Is it possible the actuator can work in the closing position and not the open position? Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Sounds like it will "push" but not "pull"?
With the door skin off try activating the locks and watch what happens, you may need a flex mirror and a flashlight to get a good look. You could try gluing it with epoxy but replacement may be the only answer.

Um, using the KISS theory, have you checked the child protection feature thingy? (Sorry for all the techno jargon)

Sounds like you need a new bumper kit, although I haven't heard of the problem on the rear doors. Is the white plastic part a bumper?

Or are we talking about the child safety lock?
