Trading in the SLE.
My brother is trading in his 2000 SLE today. After getting it back two weeks ago it broke down.... again. He said he'* basically sick of fixing the car several times a month. The dealer offered him $5,900 for trade-in which is above book value for it consider the problems. He owes $5,900 for it so I guess he really can't go wrong in that aspect. The car he'* going with is a 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg Edition with a 2.5L 5 cylinder engine. They got pretty good ratings so it should be a good car. he'* leasing it for $250 a month and it has most options including a sunroof and heated seats. He sounded pretty excited about it. It'* unfortunate that his SLE had been quite unreliable consider the Aurora and SSEi have been pretty much flawless in over 2 years of ownership. His is going to be the same color as the one below. He called me a minute ago to let me know he was going to sign the papers (unless he changes his mind at the last minute.)

That stinks about the Bonne having to go.
As far as the replacement goes, it looks a bit small on the outside, but pretty roomy on the inside. Not too bad.

I like the new Jettas. I know older ones had issues, but I'm sure they fixed them by now. My friend has the new GLI, black front w/ red stripe instead of the chrome, multi-spoke rims. A bit sportier.

well.. it'* confirmed. The SLE is gone and he'* now the proud leaser of a 07' Jetta. PIctures to come later. The biggest incentive he was excited about is he gets a free loaner if anything goes wrong on the car. I'm happy about that too, because now he doesn't have to borrow my car whenever his breaks down anymore. :llol:

That Volskwagen dealer is going to find a nasty little surprise if they ever pull up the carpet though.. Just about the entire floor is rusted horribly from a water leak. It just about smelled like a farm under the back seat. It was nasty!
