Sheez tough crowd.

Great purchase Vinny, I hope it works out well for you. One thing is for sure, that is quite possibly the best 7-series, before it went and got all Bangled up

Congrats on the new car! Sorry about the Bonneville. Considering all the things you listed were wrong with the car, there'* no way you could ever pay that much for it.

Long story short - when shopping for cars back in late 2003, I was on several lots - Honda, VW, BMW, Toyota, but the one car where the clouds absolutely parted and shone a bright ray of sunshine was my Bonnie SLE. I had never owned an American car before, and I think she'* a lot more unique looking than Beamers. Just my preference. It saddened me that the Bonnie line was retired to be replaced by the G8 (which I don't think is nearly as handsome, especially with the scoop on the hood, and the rear wheel drive in snow will suck).

Aaaaanyway...hope the Beamer treats you right!

Hmmm, I thought for sure they would be quicker than this -

1995 BMW 740iL

0-60 - 8.0
1/4 mile - 16.0

Just be glad you aren't looking for performance.

Style trumps speed for a lot of us....my alpha car is a lot slower then my beta car and I don't care.

Congrats, Vince. That should be a very nice car for your clients and for you to go to client meetings in, which was one of your main goals, anyways.

Nice beamer....They are reliable if taken care of.

Beamer probably cost around $80,000+ in '95....where SSEi'* costed half that.
