Try wider. That'll usually do it.

A big downside to the 255/50/17 is that there are really only two options if you want to stick with an all season tire. The Ecstas you have on the SLE or some BF Goodrich's that didn't rank too high.

I'm curious to know what the widest tires I could run on mine are.. prolly 235's,

I have kumho ecsta as/x's right now.. i'm not too happy with them in the snow, but other than that they're pretty okay :)

next will be falken ziex ze 512's or goodyear assurance triple tread

Eric, I have those tires on the SLE. (the green car in my sig).

While mine are wider than yours, they are EXCELLENT in the snow and ice. I'm very impressed. Try dropping 5psi in the fronts.

Pirelli p4 all seasons?

Im trying to find some new tires to replace the "el-cheapos" i have on my 00 se. Ive been looking around and I am leaning towards the Pirelli P4 All seasons. They got pretty good reviews everywhere I looked, and have an 85000 mile treadwear rating. Just wondering if these tires are a good choice (i found them for 70 on tirerack.com), and im also looking at some american racing rims (coils probably) thanks.
