For my latest car I bought them on Tirerack and had them shipped directly to the installer. It worked out great.

I bought three sets from TireRack for my last purchases (Bonne and Tahoe tires) because a friend of mine owned a shop and mounted them for me. After my friend sold his shop I searched for someone to mount and balance and the prices weren't making the hassle worth it.

I finally went to NTB (National Tire Battery) who is a recommended installer for TireRack.
After I got NTB'* quote for mounting and balancing, I negotiated with the manager using TireRack'* prices and he finally agreed to match their price if I buy the tires from him. The tires were expensive Michelens for my Tahoe.

I found that shops don't treat you that well when you bring your own tires to be mounted.
It'* like bringing your own parts.

I have been to their facility and autocrossed on their test course, they are a top notch group of people who will go out of their way to help you. They have even installed tires on peoples cars at their facility! Their always my first choice, it also helps they are only an hour and half away and I can pick them up if need be.
