Ultra 94 is $1.999/gal... me = :tool: guess the tank was kinda low, but I got 411 miles on it...

J Wikoff 04-26-2004 01:18 AM

18.507 gallons... Isn't that beyond empty according to the manual?

yes + the fact that seeing the number 37 turn over made my wallet darn near burn my a$$...

J Wikoff 04-26-2004 01:23 AM

I've paid 59.00 for regular, but that was my dad's 31 gal tank on the Silverado.

big_boss2010 04-26-2004 01:23 AM

That was just the fuel deficit LOL, his car floated him a loan till payday, Bonneys can do that ya know:)

Seriously, I have seen ours take 19.5 gallons once, I was outraged until someone here explained about the filler pipe LOL and tank variations

Yeah I would say it was low! Your fuel gauge must have been PAST the 'E'! I got a little scared the other day driving around with the needle at the bottom of my "orange zone", but when I filled up it only took 14.7 gallons! There is more reserve fuel there than the gauge allows you to believe... but now I know!

MOS95B 04-26-2004 04:43 AM

Don't count on that!! Mine was at the top of the Warning zone, and it took 18.x gallons to fill it up. I don't think the fuel gauges are very accurate...

Merlin 91/97 04-26-2004 09:03 AM

I almost didn't understand the pic at first.....

Then I remembered gallons and USD...

I've paid over $55 for a tank here in Canada.... so $37 sounded really cheap... hehe

Jim W 04-26-2004 09:46 AM

:stupid:

Yep, thats my "top up" gas price.. with 40% gas still in my tank. If I get out of the station sub $50 bux, its been a good day

Miami 04-26-2004 12:29 PM

:eek2: hmmmm....a fill-up usually costs me $20, tops...

SSEimatt93 04-26-2004 12:48 PM

Were talking $47.00 for about 17 gallons!

OMG, I'm using 89octane and I'm still paying $1.85-$1.95 a gallon 94octane is well over $2 a gallon here in central OH

willwren 04-26-2004 02:37 PM

As of this morning, Oregon officially moved to the #4 spot nation-wide for high gas prices.

I paid $2.26 a gallon yesterday for 92 octane.

BonneMan95SE 04-26-2004 04:07 PM

Man I just did a speech on gas prices. Wish I came here before I gave it. Proves I gotta visit more

We'e got a winner everone!!!!!!!!

willwren 04-26-2004 05:21 PM

Another month of this, and it might be cheaper to buy Toluene at $8 a gallon and mix my own 92 out of 87.

SSsuperchargedEi 04-26-2004 06:56 PM

i could go buy some turbo blue and spend $4.00 a gallon... been there, done that...

egladman 04-26-2004 07:32 PM

Just got through filling mine up with 92 Octane. $26 and 13.007 gallons. Now i'm starting to wondering if It was a mistake buying a supercharged car or not. Then my mind comes back to me as I mash the loud pedal and I realize it was not mistake.

willwren 04-26-2004 07:36 PM

I can't complain. I get better mileage in my SSEi than alot of the cars out there running 87 ;)

Me either it might cost me a little more to fill up the SSEi, but i'm getting about 24mpg avg and the old 89 Bonny was only getting 20mpg avg so it was all worth it.

2 weeks ago I was in Belleville ON and I paid 69.7 cents a litre. I left Belleville and by the time I got back to Halifax I was paying 87 cents a litre standing at a gas station looking across the harbour at the oil refinery. I never knew shipping gas 1900 more kms dropped the price by 20 percent. If thats the case why aren't we getting gas shipped from British Columbia?

SSsuperchargedEi 04-26-2004 07:56 PM

i can only get about 250 miles in my 2.3L 4cyl ranger 4x4 on 87oct... thats with only a 15.6 gallon tank though, but it still sucks

1993 SLE 04-26-2004 10:19 PM

I can get about 200 miles per tank (I fill up about 11 gallons) but I am ALL stop and go driving, almost NO highway.

hey Ryan how are the prices back home, Down here they are 1.66 for regular 87

I just paid $1.68 per gallon this morning to fill my car up. Only cost me $23 and I was on a 1/4 tank. I get pretty good gas mileage considering I drive about 300 miles a week just to work and back and only have to fill up once a week.

harofreak00 03-24-2005 11:33 PM

how come nobody has been btiching about this lately...

i filled up with 91 for $2.29 a gallon today!!!

$36 tank...

1993 SLE 03-24-2005 11:37 PM

ya its about 2.07 here for 87

Hans 03-24-2005 11:42 PM

$1.85 at the maveric 2 blocks from my house...every other place is 1.94-2.07 for 85 octane

as far as the tank goes I thought these cars had a 17gal tank with a 2 gallon reserve.....maybe it was a 1 gallon reserve.

and yes the gauges are way off, when I fill mine up it goes over the F line until about 1/4 tank is finished off.

harofreak00 03-24-2005 11:46 PM

18 gallon tank....

shoved 18.6 gallons in once...
