General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Thank you JimmyFloyd

Default Thank you JimmyFloyd

Just installed the auto dimming compass mirror that I bought from you. It snapped onto the old mount nice and solid, everything looks fantastic.

I couldn't find any retained or accessory power up top, just "always on" for the map lights or power from the headlight switch going to the fog lights, so I got power from the fog light switch.

Second mod that nobody will notice execpt me and the wife.

(first was fuel door lock that don't work)

Actually, it'* not just 00+. and yes, you could just go to the yard, but sometimes it'* easier to just go buy one from someone.

And I also have atleast 1 left, possibly two.

And glad you got it in and working. I wish I could install one in my integra, but the mounting is all wrong (I tried)

Not to hijack the thread or anything of the sort, but when I had a side-impacted 93 Sentra, no compass inside it would work. A friend figured the unevenly slammed metal may be obstructing the magnets, and we saw that the compasses magically work as soon as they're away from that car. Considering this, do the compasses in mirrors have some calibration method?
