I think my 98 has that same support Boosty is talking about. I got the nut off of it with a lot of patience (and a good size smattering of four letter words)

Mosman.. I reposted to correct my stupidity... he probably doesn't have the dumb support..but instead has the want to commit suicide w/o the socket I mention bolt.

I have a universal... somewhere. I'll be working on it tomorrow morning, so I'll let everyone see before and afters, along with if it seems to run better while idling, driving, and under WOT.

Yup, for the Series 1, theres a bitch *** one that holds the TB support, its on the engine, down below near the near exhaust manifold. Mine took a universal, an extension, a ratchet, a torque bar, and several cuts from previous attempts.

Try some WD 40 or something. That bolt has been under lots of heat, its like removing exhaust bolts.

did mine in about 2 hours whit the help of this sites and then a did one for tj and it was about a hour off clean and back one just go easy whit the sennsor after shoot that black shoot out of it and enjoy a much smoother idle and better throttle response
