Had the use of a Tech2 this past weekend. Went through all the menus and items extensively. Found perimeter lighting and didn't quite understand what it would do when turned on.

Normal response unlocking the car is a flash of the headlights. With perimeter lighting enabled....the headlights come on and stay on for a while.

I didn't even know it was a possible feature.

That would be a nice safety feature! or when you can't find your own car in a dimly lit parking lot.

ahh, very cool, is there any other way of turning that feature on? (i like that alot)

I didn't read the owners manual past the part where they said "don't this..don't that" I figured it'* like this..If I didn't read it..then it'* acceptable to do it.

I wish my car did that.

It'* ok.

So I'll have to check my owner manual to see if I can do that without using the gadget.

in the 00+ they made this a programmable feature thru the DIC....no tools needed
