I had this happen to me a few weeks ago but i didn't have any puddles.
I just had the lines replaced 2 years ago too.
So i replaced the fluid filter and 2 lines. AND i doubled up the hose clamps on each end of the rubber lines cause i'm not trying to mess w/ them agian.
I'd suggest doubling up the clamps. It seems like a sure thing

This happend to my buddies '93 Bonne, he put on the hose clamps just to get it to his uncles shop. He picked up two new full trans lines for $40 and it was a breeze to install but we also had a lift . You will eventually end up having problems with hose clamps down the road if you get them to work the first time.

having it 6 quarts down is not good on any tranny.

actually that might kill a lot of them.

If it is just a hose, dont risk a $800+ repair. It is common for the high pressure line fittings and hoses to fail.

due to the fact that you cut the line Youll need to flair the end of the tube so that the hose will have somthing to hold on to they make a tool for doing this I think, try napa or replace the line, Wish I would have seen this post sooner.

Just got a Message from Andrew.. the other side of the same line blew again. I'm betting he'* got a blockage after the line still, since the other fitting blew.

Depending on the flow, maybe it could be a bad transcooler?

That'* about the only place he'd get a blockage because if he was getting a blockage inside the trans...I'd imagine it wouldn't operate correctly?

Mine have been shot for quite some time. On a warm day, a cold start will yield a puddle of ATF, my lines are shot, too. Mind you my car is much older, however I think my lines have been past their prime for quite some time.
