i was wondering what the stock size of the 98 ssei rims were and if it was fwd or rwd

they're 16" FWD rims. 5x115mm bolt pattern.

Actual offset is either 42 or 38 MM, i can't remember...

42mm is correct, but either would work (4mm is not much?)

There never was a RWD rim for the SSEi.
