I agree. Especially as compared to a couple of our members who have extended warranties and have had intake failures that they refuse to repair, you're setting really good. You won't have to worry about "did we catch it in time, or am I going to lose the bottom end of my engine in a couple of months?"

Sure, they did something less than bright, but they're stepping up to the plate, acknowledging their error, and are doing right by it. Can't ask for much more than that!

I'd have to agree thats its good that they are standing up to their mistake. There are a lot of dirty mechanics that would have said, oh, you're engines dead now. It was fine when we started it, that'l be $2500 please.

Good luck on the rebuilt one. Are they rebuilding what you have or just dropping in another motor? A shop that makes mistakes like that would be a shop I'd be worried about rebuilding my motor. But hey, it'* free and you should get a warranty. Not a bad deal at all!

Well pontiac dealership has the car, their taking apart the engine and seeing if it'* alot of parts that need to be replace either there putting a whole new engine from the box in it. or a a re-built engine in it. If they put a re-built engine in it were deff getting a warranty. But if not alot of things have to get fixed then their just going to finish it. Hopefully it will be done soon...

OK guys a little update. They didn't drop in a new engine. But they did rebuild the one I have. I think they didn't realize what all was messed up cause I called them yesterday they thought they were done but found more and they said if they striped the hole car down ( which they should of ) they would of just dropped a new engine in. But I should have car tomarrow!!!
