i just bump mine to the start position for a second and she starts..my 93 was pretty good for that as well

As jr's3800 and I have pointed out, there are MAJOR differences between the Series1 and Series2 in both mechanical design and operation, as well as noise-abatement attempts and technology. Most modern cars are carefully designed to not make noise, but computer controls and idle characteristics are modified to meet modern EPA pollution standards, so cold idle in order to warm the car up quickly for emissions purposes will sound very different.
