Default start up sound

Y do the newer GM cars sound different upon startup than what the older ones do?

This is a odd question.

It usually varies with compression ratios, engine sizes. starter used, belt drive, etc.

The Series I is a different setup. It has uneven exhaust ports, I believe a longer stroke and, mostly older (not that old) technology. Here is a vid of mine starting up and running.

The Series 1 engines are directly descended (and nearly identical) to the Buick Grand National motors.

The Series 2 are VERY different engines.
