I'm going thru the same issue with a 94 SSEi that has 260 K on it.
I pulled the engine and it is being rebuilt by a professional shop out of town for $2,500.

The engine only ran a very short time after the bearing spun. So far the shop has said that the original crank is OK and can be cleaned up with an oversize bearing.
If not they said a crank blank was worth an extra $100.
