The car will actually run safley without the SC? So if the Belt breaks on you your not screwed then?

I havn't looked @ mine to rember but what else is that belt running?
From there feedback and what I see it could be fishy or not.

I can't remember what all is on the SC belt on a series II, but the lower compression ratio and the wee little boost bypass the engine is trying to breath through would make it quite a dog. What'* more, the valve in the bypass is run off vacumm, when you open the throttle, that valve closes. Now, potentially, the boost bypass solenoid (that is coincidentally disabled in my car) might read the loss of boost pressure and keep it open, hopefully.
I drove mine without a SC belt for 2 days and it was fine. Very undramatic, no noticable problems or anything...it did indeed feel like an L36.
On the Seriies II, the SC belt only drives the SC. All others acessories are on another belt.
