Time, and a couple hundred miles of driving, got rid of the odor. There'* still a faint smell in the wheel well, but it'* much less noticeable now. I'll try the peroxide trick before my next tire rotation.

I've seen quite a few videos on YouTube where people are plucking those little guys off with .50 cal rifles. Fun to watch them do cartwheels in the air.
