So I take it the 00+ Bonnies are slightly problematic?

For some of us, those comments may be why we didn't consider them.

Are bonnies reliable? Overall a great yes, especially on expensive bits like the engine, tranny, etc.

92-99 have their issues yes. I think 96-99 had some things changed that didn't need to. They made headlight removal a PITA for no reason.

the 00+ have chassis issues. A lot of them have issues getting tires to balance for instance. The window regs, the steering, being limited in batteries. A lot of great ideas, but a few could've been designed better.

Hell I got my car over some L36'* i was looking at soley on the LIM problem. Although a 97 SE, with a tow hitch, a rebuilt tranny (from said tow hitch) and a very low coolant bottle, need to be avoided...

Ok, another complaint would be the headroom, when ya got a helmet on, ya gotta tilt your head to the side, that'* kinda annoying. And the front seats aren't as comfortable as the older style bonne'*.....IMO.

do you even have a CLUE WTF you are talking about???????
how would a tire balancing issue have ANYTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the car.

however, yes, some people do have a vibration problem that is NOT tire related

I have a 2000 se edition and the only problems I have had were the fuel pressure reg and the rear drivers side window reg cable broke. I had 135000 miles on it till I crashed last week.

The 2000+ are extremely fussy about a totally perfect tire balance. The previous models weren't as fussy about a little margin of error. That'* why it'* hard to balance tires on them. I think I've only gotten one actual successful balance on my car from one shop.. All the rest from four other shops all gave me a slight vibration at speed.

Then the other people must have been completely retarded. Most tire balancers like mine are digital and hard to mess up

"the" vibration problems are 90% unrelated to balancing. The bonnie would have to have teh worlds worst suspension if you could feel such a small variation in balance that several attempts are required to resolve it. And if this were the case, you would feel EVERY little bump and groove and pebble on the road.

Guys! guys... it'* my understanding what BonneMeMN is saying is not whether or not people are competant enough to balance the tires...rather even when the tires are seemingly balanced there can still be mystery vibrations at various speeds. The mystery vibrations, from what I understand, are just that... still a mystery. We've yet to find the cause and solution from our current members...

That doesn't mean that he doesn't know what he'* talking about or that those performing the balancing are retards. Use your "nice" words please... Thank you!
