Question Low Range Power, problematic???

Ok, most everyone knows me and my bonnie by now lol... so me and a friend were talkin cars and hes drivin mine before a couple times and made the comment that she just screams "beat me" lol...
Now what he meant by this was she has NO POWER in the low rpms... and its true now that i think about it... she has little power below 2000, and after 2500 she boosts and bam your gone, now is it just me? the cars at almost 160,000 miles, original motor, all stock for now, and she prolly needs an overhaul but i was just curious if due to low compression for the boost if it was normal or if the other sseis make power below 2000 rpms or if yours has to be above that to run well

now im not talking bullet out the hole below 2000 im saying just driving down the highway at 55 and shes at 1500 rpms and HAS to downshift to pull up a 20* incline of a hill because she downshifts and kicks up to 2500 and then pulls... problematic or normal?

other than i think she needs an 02 sensor from the dealer not the crappy borg warner one on her now, she runs perfect, she idles ruff and if sat too long throws a 02 sensor code, which goes off after driving again, i think its the sensor, just need the money to get one from work lol

It'* odd Sheff...I read that and all I saw was..

"Does my O2 sensor effect how my car runs and drives?" That'* a big yes. Get it changed out and see if that corrects the issues you think may be happening.

lol so im guessing that doesnt happen to most then??? i know the 02 sensor is causing some problems but i didnt figure that would be an effect... shes driven like that since i first got her back up and runnin so i think even after i get the new 0s sensor shed still be like that
but possibly not... just have to wait and see i guess
just lookin for insight

Lemme put it this way.. had a stock 95 Ei when I first started. Roast the crap out of the tires from a stop. Pick up and go pretty well from most speeds.

Except when I first got it and the cat was constipated. Sent Rotorooter in ...but they couldn't save kitty. Got a new kitten and all was well.

O2 can plug your kitten, an unhappy kitten is an unhappy car.
