Default Series II 3800 vs. Ford 3.8

I don't know if this has been brought up in the past, but I was wondering about it.

How does a Ford 3.8 compare to a Series II 3800 NA?

I've heard the torque numbers are a lot higher for the Ford engine, but it'* hard to believe that it is quicker.

Well my mom'* T-bird 3.8 is not as fast as mine. I've driven hers and I HATE how it shifts and accelerates. It'* very sluggish off the line too. I don't even know the hp, but I know I wouldn't want to own one.

I don't know much about it either, but I THINK the hp on my mom'* 96 T-bird 3.8 is less or equal to mine, stock....someone correct me if I'm wrong. I've always wanted to know the #'* on her car.

with that HP it couldn't be a 3.8L ford V-6 engine and i don't know what V-8 would have torque that low, so...
That would probably be the SC Thunderchicken with the M62. Pretty wimpy, eh?

The SuperCoupe has always used an M90.

Check www.carpoint.com to look up hp and torque. 150 hp for late ninties, 190 for current V6'*.
