sentinal switch problem

Default sentinal switch problem

I have a 94 bonneville the lights stay on even with the sentinal turned off have to lossen neg bat term to cut off is there a way to bypass this was told it was just the switch does that sound right

The sentinal part should only keep the lights on for a few seconds after you turn off the ignition. I'd take a look and multimeter the switch to see if the switch is bad.
