How do you remove the seat back cover?
My head rest is lose at the bottom so it just moves back and forth, It stays stationary at the hole in the top of the cover so i know the problem is only at the bottom of the posts. so now i gotta get in there and find/fix the problem

Also if anyone has pics of a back thats skinless so i can see what in there and what ill be dealing with.

Undo the J channel at the absolute bottom edge of the seatback..then.

Seat back pulls from the bottom and the plastic clips release.


Then there are hog rings for the upper bolsters and C channels holding the lower bolsters on.

I cant see in that pic, but what in the hell holds it from moving around??? :?

The top is held by the headrest
The upper is held by hog rings
The lower is held in place by the bolsters and c channels.

The front has velcro that holds the cover to the cushion.

I discovered what holds the headrest firm, and why mine moves around...

I striped a seat at the wreckers this weekend which has the same issue as mine (floppy headrest)

this is what is wrong for anyone that has the issue.

the welds that hold this bracket in place snap, leaving the head rest a flopy peice-o-junk

it should hold firm in this place



The only fix i can see is to uncover it, and reweld the bracket, of possibly a **** load of JB weld and ducket tape
