Default Scantool?

I see that there are a few members that do have them. What are peoples suggestions on a scantool that will do both OBD1 and OBD2. It can either hook up to a laptop or on it'* own or hook up to a Palm PDA.

I am looking for something that is reasonable in price too. I want to be able to scan both my Bonneville and my Malibu.

Please keep it on topic, if you have a suggestion and why ( reason whey it is good or bad) then great, if you are posting to simply disagree with someone and do not have a suggestion then don't bother.

Thanks

Digimoto has something reasonable that I have. Its only for OBD2. I got the one that plugs into a laptop.
