As much as it pains me to say this....i mite be close to selling my olds....i really dont want to but at this point i don't know if i should keep dumping money into it or just let it go...but i put an add out on craigslist for 900....hopfully i can get another 88 but the one i have i've just been dumping money into it...and my car can't pass state inspection due to suspension problems and the front alingment...and all that is going to cost 1200 just to fix so i don't know... Thanks for letting me vent..... :( :(

Sorry to hear about that. As hard as it is to let go a favorite car, sometimes you just have to move on. And only you know what the right time is for you.

Keep your head up. While it may not seem li8ke an attractive option, it may be for the better. Keep your eyes open and you may just find a nice one out there that'* newer with less miles/problems.

If you like motor work and are near Syracuse, there was a 95 or 96 88 for $250 that had the LIM issue so it needed a motor...

I know how easy it is to get attached to a car. But when the repair bills start adding up, and when it'* going to cost a bundle to pass a smog test, it might just be easier and less expensive to get a newer car.

Just remember that the best remedy for the pain of losing a loved car is the joy of getting a newer one in better shape with more bells and whistles.

My wife missed her 88 Grand Prix 2 door. -For about 5 minutes, until she got behind the wheel of her 2001 Grand Prix GT 4 door. I'm sure I'll feel the same way when the day comes to replace my 97 Bonneville SE, and I slip behind the wheel of. . .I dunno, but I bet it will have a supercharger, or maybe a couple extra cylinders.
