Default It'* a sad sad sad sad day....

Yeah, my graduation buzz is completely dead now... I just got headers and duals for my bonne, so a friend wanted me to rev... Well.. I did, and killed my car. The engine started clicking and apparently I had over revved (no tach) and knocked a rod either loose or completely blew it off. The bonne isnt expected to 'live' for much longer.
Needless to say, i'm pretty pissed off.. and very sad. I just spend money on the car, and I kill it.

Anyway... I need a good place for rebuilt/used engine blocks. I want another 305 or maybe move up to a 350, but if anyone has a good site.. let me know.[/code]

Local auto parts stores, wreckers, junk yards.

350'* are a DIME A DOZEN. If you can't get a running one in the car for under $1000, you didn't shop good enough

Although 305 parts are everywhere too. Why not to a high performance rebuild? A new cam, pushrods, and head set, and you're good to go.

If some lower parts are damamaged stroke the damn thing

Stick with the 305 and transfer your pricey parts over. Shouldnt be hard or costly to get back up and running, good luck.

Any of you have an idea of how much installation would cost?

Start by making phone calls in your local area, I think you can find someone who will install a new block with warranty for $1000 easy. Might even get it for $750?

If you've got an engine hoist you could do all the work yourself...

Sorry to hear it, dude
Hope you get her running on a new motor soon.
