replacing radiator in 96 ssei
my radiator har 4 metal lines going in and has level sensor.facing the car while looking under hood i have 2 metal lines on driver side and 2 on pass. side with the level sensor. my question is why does every car in the junk with an l67 ''park ave gtp and a 97 ssei'' only have 2 metal lines on pass and none on driver side... dont know if i can make it work or what.....NEED HELP....
The metal lines on the drivers side are usually for an oil cooler, while the ones on the passanger side is for the transmission cooler. The level sensor is for your DIC to indicate low coolant. If you are having trouble locating a '3 Core' radiator <what you have> in a junk yard, you may have to go new.
so im pretty much devastated then.i did find one in a mid 90s regal 3.8 but its not supercharged so its prob not a 3 core right just a 2core???

In 97 the 4t65E tranmission was put into service on the SC'd cars. This marked the end of the oil cooler lines. Odd that oil cooler would stop with the addition of a different trans, but apparently the second year of the engine was found to run easier and cooler and the lines were discontinued.
