Default Removing Sunroof Slider

How does one remove it? Does it involve removing the headliner?

If your talking about the whole bar system that pulls the glass back you have to drop the headliner, i know it a pita to remove the headliner but id rather have the space to work

No, I just want to take the cloth cover off that you can slide back and forth.

If you slide it to one side you may have enough play to pop it out, but to do it right i would drop the whole headliner, better safe than sorry then to break a bunch of stuff
