Default Removing/installing sway bars without lift?

I'm assuming that sway bars can be installed using jacks/jackstands..right?

My GMPP bars are supposed to arrive sometime this week, but I'm sort of lost as to how to remove the old ones. I know that i have to cut/otherwise remove the links and unbolt the brackets that hold the bar down, but how do you get it out? A few people have told me to drop the subframe..what the heck is a subframe?

Thanks guys

The subframe is the big metal framework that the engine/transmission are bolted to. If you lower it an inch or two that gives you lots of room to pull the bar out. It'* possible you can sneak it out past the wheel hub w/o pulling the subframe, but I'm not positive in the Bonneville.
