What could I use to remove high temp or automotive paint....froma metal item..thanks

Toluene. Get a gallon at the local paint store. About 8 bucks. It'll melt ceramic high temp paint right off the part.

In other words dont drip this on the car when your filling your gas tank?

I used it originally to de-grease my STB, and ended up completely stripping it down to the OEM powdercoat

It reminded me why I use a long funnel VERY carefully while using it to boost octane This stuff will probably eat through the factory clearcoat in a second or two.
