I have a cytek remote start on my 2001 bonnie SSEi... And it works great..the guys from car toys installed it.. It doesnt work all the time like it should but it works. No bypass here. I notice I need to wait till the car is locked and sitting for 30 seconds before it will start..there were no special tools and adapters needed to install the remote start...just an FYI

They must have done something crazy to cut out the immobilizer, possibly where it would not work at all so if you can pick the key cylinder you can take the car
with the combination units all the wiring is easier beacause it tries to utilize some of the car'* systems to integrate everything

Directed Electronics is by FAR the best products to use (fortin is good stuff too).
I too also use the DLPKGM module, (does heated seats and re defogger automatically depending on outside temp. via data. might not hurt to ask what one they will be installing. but realistically $80 installed doesn't sound to bad the labor to install one is only 10-15min for someone familiar with them.
BTW 92-99 Bonneville have VATS, 00+ have PK3. you cannot just bypass PK3 like you can with a resistor in VATS. it requires a module, I dont think i could even think of a way to ghetto rig past PK3 unless someone literally stuck a key next to the ring ... no remote start should take 30seconds to start a car hopefully they didnt hack up your car. it literally takes an hour to do for a pro.

Correction...I meant DLPKGM (very close in price, within dollars), only a few cars use the GM version ours is one of them(CTS/LaSabre/Bonne.), I still love the DLPK though its for the New Silverado'*,G6/G5,Malibu,Impala,etc. and several hundred others.
