Default Recommended engine paint

Im looking to paint the red stripes of my sight/sound cover on the engine to yellow to match my wires. Anyone have a recommendation of paint? Should I sand off the red first or just paint over? Thanks!

Not as cheap as paint, but hey, they are reflective!

You really dont have to use high temp paint. you can just use regular enamel and wont have to worry about anything. That what I used and no problems what so ever.
