You must not have the RPO for that. Use a cutting torch on the trunk lid just forward of the spoiler. Check for this RPO code:

POS (opening trunk lid)

I hope the border patrol doesn't ask me to pop the trunk in March. My trunk button alone isn't doing it like it used to before winter.

It takes a little while, but yes it does work. I didn't try that tonight, but it always opens that way. The key does NOT turn the lock at all though. I got some new trunk stoppers from FlyBoy but they don't seem to be the solution.
