supercharger was only an option on the 92/93 sses and the 95-9? SLEs.

if he has the i at the end yes he would have a different trans

Alright, I have a 96 bonneville SSE (NON SUPERCHARGED) with a **** tranny and i need a cheap one to put in it. I am trying to find out which gear ratio I have. The car performed great when I bought it until that tranny **** out at 125,000 miles. I had a local shop put another one in and it acted like a granny car (slow & shitty) for almost 2 years. I dont know if they put the wrong ratio trans in it and im stuck with it or what, but then that tranny **** out on me. Now I have a car that i really liked turn into a money pit and im pissed off about it. Now you all know the whole story. The VIN is 1G2HZ52KXTH211267 I would hate to junk a car that is perfect except for the tranny. If you can help I would appreciate it. I am in Taylorville Illinois which is 25 miles south east of Springfield. I cannot look at the spare tire cover since I dont have it anymore. I was dumb enough to put a big stereo in and lost track of the cover.
************************************************** ************************************************** ******* I have just found out the whole vin can be decoded to find the tranny. I have a 3.06 ratio and if you know of a decent tranny or where to find one, give me a yell.... Thanx everyone!
