There was a 1990 buick le sabre that made i to 500k on the orginal drivetrain I saw a couple years ago before I started to drive these cars.

How in the world has that trans beaten 300,000miles. I would expect at least one trans failure in there...

These trannies are actually quite reliable. The only reason you hear about them failing around here is most of us drigve hard. I'm willing to bet this guy never laid a patch of rubber with that car ever.
