Oh, well I know that the Series 2 is more than just differential braking (which is what it is in the Series 1), but I thought it pulled timing as opposed to shutting down injectors. Seems like this would be too risky to me...
Yes it does pull timing first but if that doesn't help to stop the car from spinning it shuts off some injectors.

With TC on can anyone even move? I know when Ryan had his old bonne and TC was on he couldn't even move... or at least it was very slow. I think I can trust myself to know when the tires are spinning and how to go forward without it.

I always leave it on in the GTP, unless I want to do a smokey burnout.

I hate TC. The Park has a TC system that is far more aggressive than anything else in GM'* line up. The slightest little bit of spin and the ABS starting kicking, and then, if you persist, it pulls one whacking big chunk of timing and then drops injectors.
If you turn off the TC with the button, it kills the ABS reaction and dials back the timing pull just a little bit, but it'* still a lot more agreesive than the other Series2 cars I've driven.

I always turn mine off in winter, just because I take it easy when the roads aren't great and I have great all-season tires, and if that damn ABS kick hits you while you're turning it can throw you a little sideways.

If I ever find someone to reprogram the computer I'm gonna try and have the TC eliminated.

No TC on my ride. I always thought it would be nice, but I'm starting to have second thoughts from what I'v been reading from you guys. I test drove an 01 Impala that had TC before I bought my Bonne, the salesman said to always leave it off unless you needed it otherwise it would wear something out quicker (he said if he knew I'd be taking the on ramp at 85 mph he would have had me leave it on).

My Bonne goes through the snow just fine though when I have good tires on her. It gets to bad out and I just run the Wrangler, but most of the time I'd rather be in the Bonne
