I was at a xmas party of the family last night and got to talk one the family members who is tech. He says I should run this stuff called top fuel though my injector to clean them. To turn off the fuel pump and connect it to the fuel rail. Now my car is is running fine, but I am all for prevent Maintance. My other side if not broke don't fix it He is tech at the dealer so know he just not making the stuff up.
we used to run this through when i worked for pepboys, but only if there was an existing driveability issue, and after the customer used a treatment of Chervron fuel additive without any success. If there isnt a driveability issue, then i wouldnt bother doing it
No 'mechanic in a can' can get deposits out of the filter basket. They may help clean the nozzle itself, but to restore flow in an injector, you must rebuild and replace the filter baskets.
My injectors improved from an amazing 2% spread to a .8% spread by rebuilding and professionally cleaning. This is great for power and efficiency.
Fuel Injection Enterprises did mine, and the owner (Chris) and I were theorizing why my SSEi injectors looked so good for the miles they had on them. The only thing we can come up with is the Toluene I run occasionally in the summer.
