That top picture looks like some pyrite or gem stones. Did all those little pieces fall down while your were driving or you take them off?

That pyrite looking piece is a small magnet I used to clean that stuff out of the pan in the pan pic. All that debris in the pan bottom was held by the magnets on the bottom of the pan. I just used that little magnet by the penny to clean up the inside of the pan.

Magnets are my friend. This thing would have probably gone south a week ago without those on there.

ON the pan, not in it. Stuck to the bottom of the outside of the pan. I'm certain it'* helping buy time until the new trans is ready. I'm assuming most of that mess is off second gear.

Usually on an SSEi, if there'* any damage to the sun or planetaries, it'* catastrophic. It usually frags the case. That'* bad news, as there is no value in the core. I'm praying that doesn't happen.

Look at pics of SSEi95'* to see what that looks like.

I fragged the sungear in my pickup truck which induced a 383 vortech stroker to be built. I completly snapped the splined collar off of the sun gear....Typical for 4L60-E'* I guess. So I had a very reputable shop near my house who build race transmissions for a lot of racers here, and I bought a butt load of Beef up parts...And they told me that if I ever break that tranny that they built me with that 400 horse motor (DYNO'D, NO CALLIN' BS) they don't wanna know what I was trying to do...Haha that gave me a not so false sense of security...hehe My SSEi tranny had about that many shavings in it when I swapped it, but I bet will has his differential still....hehe mine fragged right out of the casing and destroyed the whole trans...there was no rebuilding that one.
