Default Paint by numbers

I need to find out what colour my car is. I know it'* red but the paint supplyer needs to know the code for it. Do any of youz know paint codes? (I sure dont) I looked on the shelf to match it up by year and make, it looks like it is called flame red. I also looked on my build sheet for paint info but I couldn't find anything. I checked the rpo'* in the trunk but it'* hard to make anything out.
As always any help would be great.

Your best bet is to write down your VIN # (or bring title or Insurance card with VIN) into your local GM dealer and ask for a RPO code listing. With that it will tell you your paint code and the factories name for the color.
Good luck, and glad to see you around here once again.

Your paint code isn't under the hood. It'* on the RPO label.

See the bottom line? The U9806 code is the paint code for my dark yellow green.

I think my # is U8774. I'm getting the paint from an auto body shop supplier, I think they make the colour the same way a home depot would make house paint colours, buy mixing different colour dies to get it.
I checked the RPO listing in techinfo I found 87A but thats gunmetal metallic, I'm thinking more its more like 81U which is bright red but it also says (96) next to it.
