If you 're still interested in the cars on that lot, I highly doubt that anything was screwed up by running without the SC. The salesman didn't know what he was talking about, but if you can get an L67 car cheap because he'll cut you a deal, you might just want to jump on it.

Or maybe they took the belts off to keep people from abusing them on test drives? Kinda like the Corvette Valet key?

Just a thought

haha, that makes no sense....the car is acutally getting 'abused' more with the SC off because of the restriction the SC is causing

QFT, an L67 is designed to use the blower. Itll run pig rich, as i doubt it can run @ perfect balance without the SC, the adjustment range isn't that big.

I'd be willing to venture he'* between 10-15 MPG at best.
it wouldn't be running rich unless it needs a tune up or what not, most of the time a L67 will be in vaccum anyway where there is no boost so the O2 will read the A/F ratio and the pcm will adjust acordingly.

Guys.. the O2 sensor is going to keep it from running rich or lean for any period of time.

That'* why it'* there.

With the belt..the car will function fine..as designed. Without the belt..the car will function close to fine due to programming and fail safes.

I bet he took it off because the coupler was rattling and he was too stupid to realize the whole supercharger wasn't bad.
