the SC belt also drives the water pump if I am not mistaken, so yes, you'd mess the motor up in no time driving it.

Where was this dealership? I'd like to avoid it at all costs.

I think that he was a very considerate used car dealer who just had his customer'* and the environment'* best interests at heart, don't you?

that is only on the Series one L67, you can run w/o the SC belt on the Series Two L67 as it only goes around the Balaner and the SC pulley..... but its not recommended at all....

little does that dealer know, but you get WORSE mileage BY FAR with the belt disconnected. The supercharger'* rotors create an obstruction in the intake when they're not turning, so you'll lose more power than the non */c 3800 produces, AND you'll get worse economy. retarded. !

QFT, an L67 is designed to use the blower. Itll run pig rich, as i doubt it can run @ perfect balance without the SC, the adjustment range isn't that big.

I'd be willing to venture he'* between 10-15 MPG at best.

It does spin. I had to drive home once with the belt disconnected (it fell off some how) and it still makes a lower pitched whine. It still pulled decently too...enough to squeal the tires. With the */C disconnected it still had more balls then my old LN3 too.
