Well, you asked for opinions...

I didn't have much luck the one time I bought one and tried to use it. However, this is an area where the company you use and the particular contract can make a difference.

Get a copy of the contract, before you sign, and take it home to read, carefully. Highlight any areas where you have questions and don't be afraid to ask the questions. If there are too many possibilities in there that they will not cover items, and you don't get satisfactory answers to your questions, then it may be the wrong one for you.

I've had good luck..however it really comes down to what Lash mentions about knowing what is covered, deductible etc.

Once you know the name of the company you should be able to search online to find reputation and more information.

Watch out for Lubrico if you have them in the US. 1 and only time i had to use it on my 84 Monte Carlo they gave me the run around and took me 4 weeks to get my car fixed.

ive had good experiences with century warranty services (look in google for their site) they were always good to us for fixing our cars and we could take it anywhere and they still paid.

My wife has one on her '00 GP GT . Its definatly paid for itself. The policy has a $50 deductible any time the car is in for service. It has costed us under $300 to fix between $5-6K in repairs.
