Are you sure you wasn't standing on the scale?

But other than that, I'm stumped

My 93 has no passenger air bag. But that should help me against the 95'* supposed lighter weight.

ok......i just found this thread.....

i Know that Wikoff asked for my weight.....

Here is my car in FULL STREET TRIM with a 1/2 tank of gas......

this was the setup that i was running in the car at the time

as for added weight throwing the scales off....the only thing that was NOT stock in my car that could add weight

headunit........weight same as stock
Amp...............22lbs
cap................5lbs
power wire...8lbs
RCA cables...3-4lbs
underbody kit.. 10lbs
interior neons...10lbs all together

sooooo added all together that is 59-60 lbs....subtract that from the weight in the first pic.....

as for the differences.....

the bumpers do not weight 20 lb differece....i pulled the bumper off the SSEi parts car and there is no way that i could weigh 20 more than a SE....and here is what also dosnet make sense...the rear bumper SUPPORT is the same for a SE as it is in a SE....NO differece there

and let me also add.....

the 2nd airbag adds about 25 LBS to the cars weight.....when i installed the dash in my car i did not use the Pass airbag, and it is VERY heavy

the HUD weighs a MAX of 5 lbs and the splices are right in the dash harness

the ELC compressor weigs about 25 LBS and the ENTIRE ELC harness MAYBE weighs 6 lbs and that includes the ELC height sensor AND the Selector Valve

the compass unit in the trunk only weigs 3-4 at the MOST and the clusters between the SSE/i and the SE weight virtually the same

the added weight of the wiring for the DIC (door open, lamp monitor, and the hood and trunk warnings) inputs maybe totalls a 5 lbs if your lucky

the SEATS are very different...the AL7'* weight about 60lbs a piece where the power seats prolly only weigh about 30 and the non power passenger seat weighs less than that...if i had to guess about 12-20 or so

now for the ECC the only differnce is the Programmer.....all other parts of the system are the same and have virtually the same weight

the suspension weighs the same and maybe the FE2 SWAY bar weighing heavier if at all

I have had all the different pieces that have i just have posted either in my hands at the same time or i have added them to my car....i know what they weigh cause i have DONE the additions to my car....BUT i can always rely on the base weight of the car as shown in the pic

i hope this has helped the confusion that i have read in this thread
