So you are saying that there is something wrong with my engine because my oil comes out very dark (not quite black) at 2500-3k?

nonoooo sayin you can let your oil changes go longer unless you are having problems with you oil.

Yes I go 5k before changes I just make sure I check the oil to see if I have lost any I did this on the 93 bonneville we got it when it was new and no major problems other than the trans dieing on me at ~140k mi
