Default oil coming from somewhere in front of my 454 tbi???

can anyone help me?I have a iol leak somewhere in the front lower end of my 88 chevy dually with 454 tbi and 80,000 original miles..I thought it was coming from the crankshaft seal ,so I replaced it and put a new harmonic balancer on it while I was there ..let it run for 30 minutes at idle, noleak ...let me back up for just a minute I bought this truck with a clean motor,i drove it 60 miles home and I had oil all over the front of engine more concentrated on drivers sidelower end of motor completetly saturating harmonic balancer front, oil pan, steering gear box.I thought then it was crank seal ..powerwashed motor replaced crank seal and you know what else from my story so hear is the rest ..after idling for 30 min and no oil,I thought problem fixed..then two dayts later with still no leaking sitting 2 days ,I drive it 25 miles down the road and 25 back and I have oils just like before..any ideas anyone???it is soaked in the exact same areas just cant figure where the heck its coming from......Pan> oil sending unit? timing cover??? what you guys experince to what it might be??? thanks sorry so long..

if its soaked in that spot then theres probably a hairline crack in that spot, when its idling the engine doesnt get hot enough for the oil to seep through, so when you drove it that far it got hot enough to get thin and leak through.

It sounds like it'* leaking under pressure so I would suspect the sender first. Check your pcv valve too.
