My old 92 Seville, I would change it when it got down to 2% oil life and that was around 6,000 miles. My Cruze will probably get its first oil change around 10,000 miles. Since it'* up to almost 8,600 miles and has I think 15% oil life left.

change mine in the ga every 3k with 10-30 valvoline maxlife (keeps the lifter tick down) but i dont have a sensor just a dummy light set to go off every 5k

the fusion on the other hand gets valvoline synpower about every 7k once it hits 15%
