Can you guys imagine a bonneville with a nice drawn out 6 speed? They could also make one BITCHIN roadster in the solstice if they used a 3800!

A manual 6 speed would be nice in a Bonneville.... but I think it goes against the idea of a Bonneville (maybe I'm wrong). But in a nice large luxury car like the Bonneville, I prefer an automatic. If I'm in a pure sporty mood, standard of course. But I like the buttons and the automation of the Bonneville.

Although.... any idea how tough it would be to change one of our transmissions into a "tap shift" type, like the 2004 Grand Prix GTP has, or the 300M has?

Well the GP uses the same platforms and stuff, getting the PCM to work with it might be a little difficult though, well not if you throw in the */C series III 3800 from a new Comp G...

yup, i knew i was in the wrong gear quickly and did punch the clutch back in imeditally.

and on the idea of it already having problems, the shifter slid over 4th and went into 2nd more than once...
