Maybe it was in an accident by the previous owner or the onwer of that car presently and he coulnt replace the tails with the original SSE/SSEi and found some from an SE instead. You can do this aas long as it fits.

I know but they were 2 different center caps. the 92 has ABS printed on them with hte words "Antilock braking system" and the 93 center caps are blank no writing on them
This only applys to the silver option. The body color center caps never had any knid of writing
Lookagain on those original rims and the original car that it was on. See if it was on the SSE and if it had anti-lock brakes or not. Key to the trim level specialist thingy is details.
I agree with you but the object of this post was to determing how many differnt types of wheels there were in 92-93. Just like the crosslace wheels (silver and the the gold ) has an option for the black center caps and silver writing and silver with black writing. There alone are 6 different examples of wheels

This car?

This is an SSE or SSEi. It'* been rear-ended and repaired. Even the trunk lid has been replaced. Along with the back bumper cover and tails.

if I'm not mistaking, judging by the looks of the badge and color, its an SSE.

I have to agree with 93SLE. I have a 93 SSEi and the center caps are blank. I will try and post a picture later. I don't have it here at school.

I thought ABS/TC was standard with the SLE package? In that case, I'd expect to see ABS on the centercaps.
